I have brought me a new Honda CRF250 Rally out the show room after trying it out on the Thailand holiday.
 Its pretty much the same as the stock CRF250L but has a lot sexier look.  It has been upgraded slighty for 2017 with bit more horse power, re-tune / map and bigger throttle body. Got 10% off the RRP so couldn't say no. Not the fastest bike I own, however the best travel bike I own. Its good at very slow speeds  and very stable on the trails, its the perfect back lane / B road bimbler!!  It can do 80 mph, has amazing wind protection, large toolbox, nice display and will serve me well i hope. I think this might just be the bike i take round the world with me on my trip in 2022. Suspension is a little soft and gives up on real hard consecutive bumps and the tank could have been a little bigger than 10.1L but apart from that i'm well pleased with this cheap offering from Honda.  I've only done 160 miles so far...still running her in for 300 miles. then the service intervals are every 8,000 miles!!  |

Nice bit of kit you have there Ferd. I'll be interested to see how it compares to a normal crf

Well, you had a much better Test Ride than most of us get Ferdie.
 Looks good and capable, and early reports suggest the suspension tweaks are positive ones. Give it 12 months and the lust for more power will see you getting the big bore kit for her...  Or the reduced price option... www.crfsonly.com/catalog/product_info.ph...306/products_id/4855 |
