TOPIC: Dug the XR out of the garage.

Dug the XR out of the garage. 6 years, 4 months ago #9550

It's been a while since I did anything with the XR, so on Sunday with a bit of spare time, I started fitting some parts that were previously fitted to the DRZ; Cycra handguards, Trailtech headlight and Haul loop.
It's been months since she was last started and she fired up on the 5th kick... result!
Now all I need is the time to get her out for a proper ride.

I was out last weekend, just for a quick blast to see if my engine was holding up...which it is the trails were starting to get a bit slimy...I think I prefer dry sand to mud...just

I had a blast out a couple of weekends ago. The last warm weekend before the temp started to drop and the rains set in. Was muddy and a bit slippery but great fun getting sideways !!

As much as I curse the tractors etc around here for churning the lanes up and creating, in places rear wheel deep ruts filled with goo , I must say I do prefer this time of years riding. It's that little bit more demanding can't wait to try the deep wet sand trail at Hunstanton now!

I can say with absolute certainty that my next outing on the trails won't be this weekend...
Check the time of this post and you'll see that I'm off work (some sort of stomach flu type thing)

I've not been out on the drz since the peaks. I've been tut garage and back, and that was just to check the replacement bots I had bust.

I must get out again soon!!!
Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you're gonna be up again. But life goes on.
