Just got home and read the following.... adventurebikerider.com/forum/26-travel/3...o-new-gs-owners.html

It appears that the ferry tie downs can damage the seats on the new 1200's.
I don't have a solution, but perhaps removing the seat (I know a PITA) or having something to sacrifice might help?
In any event I think that it's worth looking in to, as it could spoil your hard earned Bike and Holiday.

Also agree with that. I went for £34 on the tunnel each way a couple of years ago. Very easy, very quick and very convenient.

Perhaps its not got the romance and excitement of a sea voyage but its hardly rounding the Cape Horn is it?
