Hopefully see you all there then

Rally rate agreed and usual pitch, so that £5.50 per night per tent and £2 per person per night.

I would ask that this year you pay on arrival for the nights you are staying.

Sounds a bargain! Good man

Got this in the Diary, as I am not heading for Espana this May and it'll be nice to get to the East again Not quite sure which bike it'll be yet... I do like the ride over if the weather is nice, but that'll rule out the AJP 250. Possibly the most uncomfortable bike I've ever had!!

Ben, I have a riding mate who is into long distance trail riding and camping, (another sad git) and I reckon he would love the location and site. Are you open to another guest?? Ferdie will probably have met him in Pobla.

You know you don't REALLY mean that Ben...

Pinged Spud and he is sorting out his timetable, the man lives such a hectic life, it's hard to pin him down

It's lowly getting warmer, and a bit damper too...

What are conditions like over there at the moment? Been as dry as high summer here just lately, although workload and a less than mobile better half, has stopped me enjoying much!

Up until last weekend it had been getting very powder like and the deep sand had been a challenge on the GS to say the least. The small amount of wet stuff we had out of the sky last Friday helped firm things up abit when I was out on Sunday. I'm ignoring the long range forecast as MetCheck don't seem to get it right, currently they're saying single figures overnight for the Safari, I'm hoping they're wrong this time too!

Jeezus! I have been feeling the cold air coming over from the East for nearly a week now, and still waiting for the bloody wind to drop! I was out today on a shakedown ride, and almost got blown off the Long Mynd....

Better ask for leccy hook-up and bring the electric blanket to Banham Reminder to self... Pack woolly hat and thermals!

Fitted a new tyre on the back of the Honda NX400 and ordering a 2nd hand enduro knobbly for the front, but still wondering whether to trailer the AJP over. Still, it's all about the challenge.

Is the shop/chippy still across the road from the Zoo? If so, I may pack light*, and just a stove for a hot drink or porridge.

* Actually, I NEVER travel light, I am genetically unable to do so...

it could potentially be a long day subject to weather/fitness level/bike reliability (yours not mine)

That's me screwed on 2 points Dan!

Chippy still there I believe!

If anyone is coming past or near to Wisbech with a multi bike trailer I'd be grateful for a ride, the Honda is a mare on long distance road work

I've a really cool sticker for this trip too! I'm debating whether to give away or sell for a nominal fee for Macmillan... any thoughts?
