Just pondering further on idea that was mooted briefly at Banham.
I wondered about a days trail and road ride, taking in the full title of the forum

A mix of introducing Shropshire's roads and trails, all bigger bike friendly as little or no mud would be the aim. So turning up on your bike and ride it home in one piece. I came up with a ride about 7-8 years ago for the XRV lads, but it never came off, and I think some of it would work.
I would have liked to base it here at home, but to be honest, the toilet facilities would be a problem and the hire costs of mobile units is daft, so a campsite would be best. There is a well known one near Bishops Castle, but I found the owners to be quite arsey when we were sussing it out as the XRV annual meet location
Would there be any interest in a low key ride over here in Shropshire, probably late in the Summer, but before the ground gets wet? If so, I'll investigate further on the campsite costs and locations. I know, I know, Ferdie friendly means fire friendly...!
As I would be solo leading, it would be numbers limited, probs about 6, unless I can get another Leader locally. While the Long Mynd is all legit, pressures of ramblers mean it is best done low key...

Or a Friday ride???
