I'm fine ta. A bit sore but ok. I've got my bike in a thousand bits at the mo including the headlight assembly and can't find a thing wrong. I've cleaned up loads of contacts/plugs, put new connectors on some, changed the spark plug, cleaned the earth connections etc and nothing. No spark at all. I'm a bit stumped now.

Meself and others have had this problem on our DR's. Every one turned out to be the same, dirty contacts at the base of the Ignition switch.
Remove the Switch, prise apart the Base and give the Contacts a good clean.
Don't spray them, they need to be Dry,hope this helps.

Evening all

I would like to thank everyone who turned up for making this such a great weekend

Despite the muggy heat, off's, breakdowns and failing GPS units I thoroughly enjoyed myself, even though my legs are still feeling a bit like jelly now.

My thanks go out to GB for some pointers on the routes and for coming along Friday evening, with beer and wine too Outsider for being TEC and when my GPS failed, ride leader SGR for organising a road ride, even if your companion was, to use his quote 'wankered' TP for the flyer design and rallying the troops across multiple forums Twintec for making available his estate car to carry the gazebo, electrics and for brining along the lights, so we could carry on the 'shit'conversation into the early hours

A truly memorable weekend, thanks guys

Just spent the last few hours writing up the RR, I'll upload the pictures to Imageshack tomorrow after work and post the whole kit and kaboodle up in the evening.

Many thanks for the pic and dimensions Mark, the NX4 is in bed at the moment as I have been concentrating on the Vara today... My recollection was that the NX4 is 24/25mm as well, so looking good to grap some cheap chines pegs and mod them

Took her out for a wee run after I had a new rear on a week ago and not happy with the handling. Just wondering if I have a ropey front bearing/head race or alignment issue as I have a weird shimmy on the front and she is "hunting" any road imperfections. PITA, as normally the Vara is well planted on any surface.

Sadly, the XR pegs won't fit as they are designed to go onto a single stub as opposed to the NX which has it's pegs inside a 2 stub support. Back to square one...

Happily, if I do the run to Spain to do the HISS this year on the NX4, the lowered peg setup off my Vara fits straight on
