Hi guys, haven’t been about much since I changed jobs. As some of you are aware I’m back on a GS now, decided to keep my off road riding down to a minimum since the welsh adventure. It’s been a year of change but a good year, at Easter I managed to get to the vogues mountains, then in July to the alps for bmw days, a family holiday in the 4x4 in France in August then the Pyrenees in September. But everything is a compromise so weekend rides haven’t happened and all the trips away were long weekends all done on a tight budget, camping etc. Any way I digress, I’m looking to go for a weekend camp over to the peaks (or anywhere else with decent roads) November December time, road riding only, I’ll go Friday night, ride Saturday then home Sunday. I haven’t planned any dates as weather will decide so it may well be last minute . com

Camping and winter are two words that should never (ever) be used in the same sentence!! Having said that there are some pretty cool bunk houses around the peaks and up into the dales with plenty of decent roads to play on with a road bike.....I could be persuaded!

I kinda like it, I have a down bag that is rated -4 degrees for comfort then -35 extreme, camped in the peaks at -8 before and with the right kit you’re fine. Good mat and decent bag and you’re fine, add a bit of alcohol and and all’s well.

Could be up for this, weather etc dependent!
If you only have one plug, it needs to be a good plug!
July 14 - still true, but now have two plugs!

Nice one, it will be last minute, check the weather and just go. You know GB tours are always good.

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you're gonna be up again. But life goes on.

I'll probably have to skip this. No road bike at the moment, as I am doing work to the Duc over the Autumn / Winter
