Just a thought, have you thought about doubling up in a tent?
Although perhaps it's not the ideal; it might be OK for 1 -2 nights / occasional use.
It will cut down on equipment and does make the tent warmer at night.
If it was to get too hot then perhaps a mosquito net over one of you in the vestibule would turn one tent into two.
I can confirm that sleeping with someone else isn't that different to sleeping alone, save for being extra quiet if you have to get up in the night.
If it was to work out you could take turns as to who brings the tent each time.

Also I want something that pitches and packs away in less than five minutes. My next tour will be a no basecamp one, i.e. a new location everyday.

I think that that I have a solution that allows you to pack up even faster, it's called the Le toh system.
Although I'm sure that I have the right letters I'm unsure whether they are in the right order.

I'm sure Richard at breck farm may have some trailers or something for rent on the cheap
Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you're gonna be up again. But life goes on.

GB, you can always borrow my Alpha 300+ if needs be. It'll be good to see you out on the GS again as there's far too many girls on lightweight toy bikes in ATR and we need to redress the balance

Slight change of plan for me; I won't be camping so I don't burn the whole weekend allowing me to reserve some brownie points for whistle-stop one-nighter in Wales (I like riding).

So to confirm, NN Tour RV is 10am on the Saturday?

Oooh! Any chance I could grab this camping pitch then? Been hankering for a run around this part of the World, and in some good, civilised company sounds a sensible idea! Well some are civilised

I would probably have to camp Friday and Sat night, then bolt for home Sunday morning. No way could I get to the rv for 10am on Sat morning Well, I could, if I wound the Vara up and headed into the Rising Sun!

I am a bit pi**ed off at present, as I am supposed to be in Aragorn, Spain on the HISS this week, riding in the mountains, but Summer has been so late arriving, I am weeks behind with grass harvesting and had to cancel with 2 days to go ...
