Gentlemen, this event is now getting closer

I myself will be there sometime friday.

Friday;
There is no reason why we can't pop into Matlock friday night for something to eat, pick up supplies and a wander about.

Saturday is for riding;
Those who are riding on the road rides do you want me to print route maps off or are you happy with the GPX files? Off road routes are available to in GPX files for the mud warriors.
Now if some of us want to go off on their own or in small groups thats fine by me (I dont like riding large groups myself, but will happily lead a rideout), but was thinking of meeting up for lunch somewhere with hopefully everyone, road and off road riders.
Was thinking of 4-6 hours of riding pending on weather, but that does not include eating times, then back to the site for an evening bollocks.
I'm not going to say "the ride starts at 10.00am etc", its a mini holiday, it will happen when we are all ready and not before.

Dan, I have spoke to Susan at the site and said there might be one or two people turn up a day early at the campsite and she is still keeping to her agreed price of £7.50 a night and will group us all together. I have also asked that there be plenty of free range eggs available

See new venue further into thread.

Bring it on

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you're gonna be up again. But life goes on.

Please note, I have just spoken to the campsite and unfortunately they are now away the weekend we want to be there.

I'm not gonna waste time analysing it, will just find another site in the area.

Watch this space, this event will happen!

Thanks for your hard work on this GB, looks more than acceptable, decent prices too and no slumming it!

From their website:
•We have separate male and female shower blocks, and outside toilets which are available 24 hours a day.

Does this mean a nearby bush?

Actually, just gets better and better, a pub on site - excellent, if it's hideous weather £35 a night ensuite b&b appeals too.
If you only have one plug, it needs to be a good plug!
July 14 - still true, but now have two plugs!

In one way or another, deffo road but may need a room rather than a tent if my back is still goosed.
Mind you 2 x 50mg of Tramadol + Cocodamol 6 times a day is helping to numb it nicely.
